Just a quick note for your awareness: For the past ten days I have
had limited use of my computer. It has been slowly miss-behaving over
the past few months, but normally with only minor problems. Then last
week I had a new problem that I could not solve at first. Anyways
what ever I did to try to fix the problem caused Vista not to boot at
all. So I had to use the Recovery CD's for my computer for the first
time. My "C" drive was backed up during the recovery process. I have
since decided to add the Lunix "Ubuntu" operating system to my
computer, hoping I can eliminate Microsoft Vista altogether. In the
past two days, I have tried to restore my E-mail files from the back
up before downloading the new messages. My first attempt resulted in
an error message saying no back up files exist. I know they do. Now
the back up program will not work at all. So if any of you have sent
E-mail messages in the past week or so, and was looking for a response
back, I hope to be able to do so by sometime on Thursday.
I otherwise send this message as a final reminder of the Indoor
Volleyball tournament that is being held this Sunday, January 2, 2011
in London, Ontario. I am going and have three others car-pooling with
me so far. More ride spaces are still available with me or others.
Send a message to " volleyball(a)bareoaks.ca " to make a late RSVP (
be sure to indicate if a spectator or what play level you should be
at.) or to make an inquiry. You can also perhaps leave a message at
either of the ORB E-mail addresses, but you may get a delayed reply.
Saturday Jan. 8, 2011, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM, a special one hour
reserved swim period just for Couples and families at the
Dufferin-Clark pool. Then from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM is the regular
swim period for everyone. We will repeat the HOG BALL game again, but
hopefully earlier in the swim session. Also we plan to try out a
challenge competition involving the water slide, but first we need
clearance from the pool to do it.
This will be your last ORB event before the DUAL MEMBERSHIP OFFER
expires, which is on Wed. Jan. 15, 2011. More details later. RSVP:
