It has been slowly miss-behaving over the past few months, but normally with only minor problems. Then last week I had a new problem that I could not solve at first. Anyways what ever I did to try to fix the problem caused Vista not to boot at all. So I had to use the Recovery CD's for my computer for the first time. My "C" drive was backed up during the recovery process. I have since decided to add the Lunix "Ubuntu" operating system to my computer, hoping I can eliminate Microsoft Vista altogether. In the past two days, I have tried to restore my E-mail files from the back up before downloading the new messages. My first attempt resulted in an error message saying no back up files exist. I know they do. Now the back up program will not work at all. So if any of you have sent E-mail messages in the past week or so, and was looking for a response back, I hope to be able to do so by sometime on Thursday. I otherwise send this message as a final reminder of the Indoor Volleyball tournament that is being held this Sunday, January 2, 2011 in London, Ontario. I am going and have three others car-pooling with me so far. More ride spaces are still available with me or others. Send a message to " volleyball(a)bareoaks.ca " to make a late RSVP ( be sure to indicate if a spectator or what play level you should be at.) or to make an inquiry. You can also perhaps leave a message at either of the ORB E-mail addresses, but you may get a delayed reply. Saturday Jan. 8, 2011, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM, a special one hour reserved swim period just for Couples and families at the Dufferin-Clark pool. Then from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM is the regular swim period for everyone. We will repeat the HOG BALL game again, but hopefully earlier in the swim session. Also we plan to try out a challenge competition involving the water slide, but first we need clearance from the pool to do it. This will be your last ORB event before the DUAL MEMBERSHIP OFFER expires, which is on Wed. Jan. 15, 2011. More details later. RSVP: rsvp(a)orbtoronto.org . Hi volleyball lovers, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Holidays! I am still looking for RSVP's for the volleyball tournament. Need name and level. I already have over 60, but I always get quite a number of last minute RSVP's. I also need volunteers to be the leader on each level: Novice, Novice plus, B and A. You will help me get the right teams on the court, answer questions, whatever... PS, remember this year's Bare Oaks tournaments are June 30-July 3rd and August 26th-28th.

I already have quite a few RSVP's, but those who have not, send me your name and prefered level as soon as you can. In Other News: Bare Oaks will have two tournaments this year! We the loss of Sunny Glades, we decided Ontario needed another volleyball date: August 26th-28th Our regular tournament will be: June 30th-July 3rd I hear that Turtle Lake and Cherry Lane will be offering Tournaments the same date that Sunny Glades used to have: Third weekend in July.

Superbowl at Whitethorn!

Hello Volleyball Lovers! I am headed to the volleyball Superbowl next Thursday evening! I am personally still looking for a full B hard court team. (Any takers?) The WhiteThorn Superbowl of volleyball begins Monday. Tournaments happen every day throught the week and the 6 X 6 tournament played on Sept 11th and 12th. First time I went back in 2001, there was apparently 1800 people! Hello Naturist Volleyball Lovers! Here is the official announcement from Sunny Glades regarding their Volleyball Tournament: Announcement In 2011, Sunny Glades is taking a new approach to our program activities. As a result Sunny Glades will not host a 2011 Volleyball Tournament. We greatly appreciate all the players and spectators who attended our nine tournaments making it a very successful event. We have enjoyed hosting the tournaments, meeting many new people and visiting with friends at each tournament. Thank you for your support over the nine years. Sunny Glades is proud to be a naturist facility for over 50 years and will continue to welcome members as well as visitors to enjoy our picturesque country setting. We encourage all volleyball enthusiasts to continue visiting Sunny Glades for a weekend game of volleyball. Please view our calendar of events on our website in 2011 for a list of activities.
